About

Communication Council represents the College of Communication in the Senate of College Councils at the University of Texas at Austin. Each college at UT has their own council, and the senate, as a whole, is the official voice for students in academic affairs. Therefore, we are the official student governing body of the College of Communication.

Comm Council, as we like to call ourselves, is a diverse group of student leaders that represents all six majors within the college and ranges in classification from first-semester freshmen to graduating seniors. We address student concerns in the College of Communication by fostering and maintaining strong relationships with our college’s administration, and by facilitating interactions between students, faculty and staff in the college. We also represent the college at university-wide events and by serving the city of Austin through community service projects.

Our general meetings are 6-7 p.m. every Wednesday in PHR 2.110 and are open to the public.
