Creates fundraising opportunities for Communication Council. Projects have included: Car Washes, Taco Cabana Nights, selling t-shirts for the College of Communication, and a charity fundraiser.
Publicity
Chair: Russell van Kraayenburg
Makes all flyers, posters, overheads, etc. that publicize CC’s events. Projects have included: decorating the bulletin boards, creating an office calendar, etc.
Special Events
Chair: Brittany Creamer
Takes on special projects that connect Communication Council with the College, University, and community of Austin. Projects have included: 40 Acres Fest, ARTiculate, etc.
Student/Faculty
Chair: Brooke Barber
Works to promote better relationships and increased communication between students and the faculty of the College of Communication. Projects have included: Faculty Appreciation Banquet, Faculty Appreciation Week, Donuts with the Dean and others.
Student Issues & Advisory
Chair: Nate Drummond
An academic task force for the College of Communication. Projects have included: Building Improvement Committee, pooling concerns from the students to present to the Dean and heads of each department, and concurrent enrollment.
Student Outreach
Chair: Melania Melikian
Attempts to increase student involvement and interaction, whether it be with students of the College of Communication or in other parts of the University. Projects have included: Lab Raids, FIG/Trig Bowl, etc.
