The publicity committee is in charge of publicizing all of Communication Council's events through the use of painted signs and A-frames, printed posters and flyers, emails, information on the College of Communication website and lobby TVs, facebook events, sidewalk chalk, classroom announcements, tabling, skits, and much more! We find it imperative to reach out to the students in the College of Communication so that they know we are here to listen to their concerns and issues, and can in turn voice them at various meetings with the people who can make a difference at the University of Texas. It is also important to keep students up to date with ongoing events so that they feel a sense of community and pride in the college they chose. We work with every other committee in the council in order to learn more about events and publicize each one in the best possible, customized way. We also pay attention to which forms of publicity work best, and make sure to constantly update our style and creativity so that communication students never get bored of hearing about us!

S.I.A.C.'s mission is to establish and foster positive relationships between the College of Communication's administration and her students. Members act as conduits for the transmission of thoughts and ideas from peers to the proper officials. We bring the lines of dialogue closer by eliminating the need to convey issues upward through the university's bureaucracy. We accomplish our objective by endeavoring to be an academic task force for the College of Communication, pooling concerns from the students to present to the Dean and heads of each department.
Projects have included: Building Improvement Committee, concurrent enrollment, introductory class reformation, and the implementation of minors effective as of 2010.
