Name: Kyle Carvell

Year: 2010

Major: Corporate Communication Studies

Why did you choose this major? - Well, to be honest, I hadn't the slightest idea of what exactly I wanted to study at UT. I knew I loved interacting with people, and that I considered myself more extroverted in nature so, naturally, when I found out I could actually study communication in a theoretical sense, it was a no-brainer!

Hometown: Waller, Texas

Favorite Activities on Campus: Football games here at UT are intense and always entertaining, so I do my best to attend as many as I can. The one event I attend religiously every Tuesday afternoon is Double-Dave's 'two-for-one' pizza rolls! (easily the highlight of my week, besides the awesome commie adventures!)

Favorite thing about Comm Council: There is an undeniable, somewhat contagious feeling of camaraderie and unity when 'commies' come together. These feelings of "goodness and wellness" in my opinion, only enhance our desire to better our surroundings and make being apart of this organization so very special.

Favorite Ice Cream: Cookies n' Cream...totally.

Favorite Movie: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Nothing will EVER top it.

What would you do with a million dollars? - Well, I think I would set aside half of it for miscellaneous purposes (monkeys, helicopters, etc) and use the other half to support my increasing dependency on / addiction to Einstein Bros. bagels. (This includes paying off friends and loved ones to hold off on staging some sort of "bagel intervention" in the near future)

If you could create a class that you would want to take, what would it be? - Ideally, I think a class that teaches students how to react in Ôworst-case-scenarioÕ situations could be beneficial. The curriculum could consist of extreme situations (what to do if your boat sinks or zombies attack your apartment) Or, not so extreme scenarios (how to survive after you refer to you girlfriend as ÒPamÓ when her name is clearly ÒJillÓ) Well, maybe the Òextreme/ not extremeÓ can be figured out laterÉone thing for sure though: you can take this class pass/fail. :)
